American Legion Baseball: Arlington Beats Palatine 8 to 7

American Legion Baseball: Arlington beat Palatine 8 to 7 in the bottom of the eleventh inning after Palatine had the lead until the bottom of the ninth inning. Arlington tied the score 5 to 5 in the bottom of the ninth. Palatine quickly took back the lead, and was leading 7 to 6 when a wild pitch allowed a base runner (Jason Leblebijian, Prospect High School) to score and tie the game 7 to 7. Then a single by Dan Lauria (Rolling Meadows High School) scored the winning run to give Arlington the win 8 to 7.

Pitcher Brendan King (St. Viator) earned the win for Arlington, pitching the last 3 innings.
