I just really feel that this could have all been prevented had the doctor not left the room, and had the 911 call been made much sooner with more detail regarding Michael Jackson.

Michael Jackson reported to have cardiac arrest is when the person stopped breathing and has no pulse. It is possible that demorol could stop a person from breathing if given to much however any Doc or paramedic that comptent would administered Narcan to reverse the drug . If Michael was having chest pain on wednesday he may been deny that he was having a possible heart attack. His physcian should have performed a 12 lead ekg and adminstered oxygen to help rule out the possible of a heart attack. A heart attack is caused when lack of oxygen to heart muscles begin to cause death of that muscle and adventually death of entire heart.

In the Advanced Cardiac Life Support that all Paramedics, Emergency RN’s and Physcian are required to take to ensure licensure. There is a set protocol that governs there actions including the possiblity of ending efforsts or calling it as imply by your article. Unless the physcian who agrees to take over care meaning riding in directing care and putting his license on the line after speaking to the paramedics medical command on a recorded line. The paramedics are in charge and can treat his orders as suggestions however they are ultimately responsible for care render unless that physcian agreed to assume care and all legal liability.

I’m absolutely confused as to WHY, if Michael was complaining of chest pains on Wed. that that his personal physician and/or Dr. Conrad Murray, his cardologist who had his own personal business problems, DIDN’T call 9-1-1 on Wednesday instead of waiting until Thursday. There’s a strong possibility that he was being injected with his daily shot of DEMEROL plus taking the OXYCONTIN, both of which he seemed to be addicted to.
The caller who would NOT identify himself, apparently proved to be unco-operative at the questions the LAFD Ambulance Paramedics were asking him and….the anonymous caller…for whatever reason, REFUSED to identify the name of the “gentleman” who had collapsed. I’ll be glad when the toxicology reports are made public. I feel something happened here that was NOT above board. And now….seems that Dr.Conrad Murray, Michael’s cardiologist, he either went with Michael into the ambulance and meanwhile his sister’s (??) care was towed because it might hold important evidence as to the drugs being given to Michael.
