APR 29 2009 — A 23-month-old child in from Brownsville, Texas, is the first reported death in the United States from the 2009 swine flu/H1N1outbreak. The child is reported to be a native of Mexico — a member of a family that was visiting from Mexico.
The child from Brownsville, was transported to Houston for treatment and died overnight.
