No one was injured in a Thursday morning fire in a Palatine home on the 0-100 block of south Winston Drive. Crews responded around 10:15 a.m. and found smoke coming from the eaves and roof vents of the single-family home.

Two men stole $300 from a 79-year-old man on the 1200 block of East Suffield between 1 and 2 p.m. March 10 after they falsely convinced him their work crew had cleaned his gutters. They left in a black van.

Police blotter – Wed, 18 Mar 2009
Kevin L. Kraus, 21, of the 0-100 block of 11th Avenue, Arlington Heights, was arrested around 1:45 a.m. March 12 at Algonquin and Golf roads and charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, driving under the influence of drugs and traffic violations.
