Arlington Heights Fire Department fought a van fire in zero temperatures in the 2000 block of Dryden Place about 3 a.m. The van’s engine compartment — about two feet from the garage door of a house — was fully involved upon arrival of the police and fire personnel. The fire was knocked down within minutes.
