A green Hyundai Elantra was stolen just before 7:45 p.m. while a pizza man delivered a pizza to an apartment in the Evergreen Court Apartments. Keys were left in the car and the car was last seen with a lighted Domino’s Pizza sign on the roof of the car, which was parked in the 2200 block of South Goebbert.

SEP 26 2008 — Arlington Heights Park District Sunset Meadows was designated as the landing zone for a backup helicopter at about 8:30 p.m. Friday night after a minor malfunction grounded another helicopter on the Northwest Community Hospital Helipad.
A Flight for Life helicopter reported a problem with a door malfunction during a safety check before takeoff from the Northwest Community Hospital helipad about 7:10 p.m. Friday. A LifeStar helicopter was called as backup to transport a patient to another hospital.
Lifestar landed at Arlington Heights Park District Sunset Meadows along New Wilke Road and sent their specialized stretcher in an Arlington Heights Fire Department paramedic ambulance to pick up an injured woman at the Northwest Community Hospital emergency room. The woman was transported by the Arlington Heights ambulance to the landing zone where the pilot and helicopter were waiting. The woman, with a serious injury was from an earlier automobile accident in Arlington Heights, was transported to a specialized care facility after the LifeStar lifted off from the landing zone at about 8:45 p.m.
