Five unidentified Iranian speedboats that approached the U.S. Navy destroyer USS Hopper. Three US Navy ships were approached Sunday January 6, 2008 near the Straight of Hormuz.

The action is considered aggressive in light of the similarity to maneuvers that occurred during the suicide attack of the USS Cole in Yemen October 12, 2000 that killed 17 sailors.
