Fight in an Apartment Building on Miner, Two Victims with Serious Knife Wounds

A female was transported to Level One Trauma Center Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge from an apartment building in Arlington Heights in the 400 block of West Miner Street just before 10 p.m. Sunday. Arlington Heights Police responded to the apartment building on the south side of Miner Street at about 9:45 p.m. and found two victims with apparent knife wounds. At least one victim was wheeled out to the ambulance unconscious. A second ambulance was called when police reported a second victim with trauma and blood loss. No confirmation to which hospital the second victim was transported.

Arlington Heights Police were also seen carrying body shields as they moved in to the crime scene. One witness reported that a large amount of blood was seen flowing out from under a doorway and down some stairs. He heard another female neighbor yell, “Run for your life! … Run for your life!”

A forensic unit was on the scene. Arlington Heights Police are investigating.
