Roadside Bomb Kills Two NATO Soldiers on Patrol

TUE FEB 26 2008 — Two NATO soldiers were killed while conducting a routine patrol when a roadside bomb exploded in the Sharan district of Paktika province.

The two soldiers killed were identified as Cpl. Szymon Slowik and Pvt. Hubert Kowalewski from Poland. One soldier was also wounded. Poland has about 1,200 troops in Afghanistan.
