Illinois State Trooper Killed in Collision with Two Vehicles, Both Drivers DUI

Illinois State Police Trooper Brian McMillen, 24, was en route to assist another trooper when his squad car collided with two other vehicles. The drivers of the two vehicles were charged with aggravated DUI and improper lane usage.

McMillen, who graduated from Cadet Class only eight months prior to the accident, collided with two cars just before 3:00 a.m. on Sunday, October 28, 2007, on Dye Road about three-tenths of a mile south of Interstate 72 [MAP/SAT]. The other two drivers charged with Aggravated DUI and Improper Lane Usage are Justin L. Taylor, 22, of Decatur and Shaitan L. Cook, 28, of Decatur.
