Arlington Heights Fire Department called a Box Alarm for a fire at Old
Country Buffet (445 East Palatine Rd) just before 3:00 a.m. Sunday morning. Fire was visible upward from the roof upon arrival of fire equipment. The fire was extensive inside, but no visible damage showed outside after the fire was extinguished. Buffalo Grove Fire Department, Mount Prospect Fire Department and Prospect Heights Fire Department assisted on the call.
The area of the building is part of the newly remodeled Town & Country Center at Palatine and Arlington Heights Road.
